Visionary filmmaker and former Python Terry Gilliam's latest surreal project, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, hits U.K. cinemas on October 16th 2009 and you can view the new trailer right here...
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - which premiered out of competition at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival - features the final screen performance of the late Heath Ledger, who tragically died midway through filming. After a short production delay Gilliam managed to secure the services of Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrel to portray 'physically transformed versions' of Ledger's character Tony, who joins Doctor Parnassus' (Christopher Plummer) travelling theatre group and must travel through parallel dream worlds to rescue Parnassus' daughter Valentina (Lily Cole) from the clutches of The Devil (Tom Waits).
