Steve Pink (writer of Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity) reunites with John Cusack and takes on directorial duties for the science-fiction comedy Hot Tub Time Machine, which is set for release in the UK in the coming weeks after a third-placed opening in North America last weekend.
The R-rated comedy (cert. yet to be confirmed in the UK, but we're guessing 15) follows a group of friends who’ve become bored with their lives: Adam (Cusack) has been dumped by his girlfriend; Lou (Rob Corddry) is a party guy who can’t find the party; Nick's (Craig Robinson) wife controls his every move; and video game-obsessed Jacob (Clark Duke) won’t leave his basement.
After a heavy night on the sauce in a ski resort hot tub, the men wake up to find they've travelled back in time to the year 1986. This is their chance to change their futures – one will find a new love life, one will learn to stand up for himself with the ladies, one will find his mojo, and one will make sure he still exists...
