The first title will be To Kill a Mockingbird, arriving on Blu-ray in time for its 50th anniversary later this month. The others will be released throughout the year. The list of films includes All Quiet on the Western Front, The Birds, Buck Privates, Dracula (1931), Dracula (Spanish Version), Frankenstein, Jaws, Schindler's List, Out of Africa, Pillow Talk, Bride of Frankenstein and The Sting.
Universal’s company logo has undergone a redesign for the centenary, with the new image appearing at the start of its releases from March. The studio will also be holding celebrations at its theme park and a number of other special events. Universal’s President and COO Ron Meyer said: “This is a proud moment for all of us who've had the privilege of working at Universal Pictures. Our centennial is designed to bring special memories back to longtime movie lovers and fans, and to engage new audiences with our extraordinary library of films for the first time. Our goal, 100 years later, is to preserve, restore and continue the iconic legacy of this studio for generations to come.”
