The Social Network claims top prize at the Richard Attenborough Film Awards

A round-up of all the winners from the UK's regional film awards...

The Social NetworkDavid Fincher's The Social Network has already started to picked up the accolades as the road to the Academy Awards gets underway and yesterday it enjoyed further success as the UK regional critics announced the winners of the fifth annual Richard Attenborough Film Awards (RAFAS). The Facebook biopic was awarded the prestigious Film of the Year award with Aaron Sorkin also named Screenwriter of the Year, while Pixar's Toy Story 3 bagged the most gongs, taking home the Animated, 3D and Family Film of the Year awards.

The RAFAs consist of fourteen categories (seven decided exclusively by UK regional critics, with the other seven open to public vote), and the full results are as follows...

Speaking after the winners were revealed, Lord Attenborough said: "The last year has shown the cinema to be both resilient and innovative, with large audiences eager to enjoy the unique theatrical experience. It has also brough a superb crop of terrific films with compelling performances from both experienced and fresh talents. I offer my warmest congratulations to this admirable set of winners."
