It's the day before the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announce their nominees for outstanding achievement in film and that can only mean one thing... it's time for the contenders for the worst of the worst. Yes, the nominations for the 2009 Golden Rasberry Awards are in.
Will Ferrel flop Land of the Lost and sci-fi sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen lead the way with seven nods apiece, while GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra adds to Hasbro's misery by appearing in six categories. The trio are joined by comedies All About Steve and Old Dogs for the 'honour' of Worst Picture, while the likes of Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, John Travolta, Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus and Sandra Bullock will fight it out for the acting gongs.
This year's Razzies also include special awards for Worst Picture of the Decade (Battlefield Earth, Freddy Got Fingered, Gigli, I Know Who Killed Me, Swept Away), Worst Actor of the Decade (Ben Affleck, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Rob Schneider, John Travolta) and Worst Actress of the Decade (Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna).
