55th BFI London Film Festival - Day 11 Video Highlights

The British Film Institute have released their latest Vodcast, summarising all of the highlights from Day 11 of this year's BFI London Film Festival. The main attractions yesterday was the European premiere of Trishna, an adaptation of Tess of the d'Urbervilles from director Michael Winterbottom (The Killer Inside Me), while Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank) presented her take on Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights and filmmaker Miranda July (The Future) presented the final Masterclass.

Trishna synopsis: "Starring Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and Riz Ahmed (Centurion) and based on Thomas Hardy’s novel Tess of the d’Urbervilles, the film is set in contemporary India and tells the tragic love story between the son of a wealthy property developer and the daughter of a rickshaw driver."

Wuthering Heights synopsis: "A Yorkshire hill farmer on a visit to Liverpool finds a homeless boy on the streets. He takes him home to live as part of his family on the isolated Yorkshire moors where the boy forges an obsessive relationship with the farmer’s daughter."
