This December sees the return of Robert Downey Jr. (The Avengers) and Jude Law (Contagion) as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's master detective Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr. John Watson in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows - the sequel to the 2009 smash hit from British director Guy Ritchie (Snatch), which has just received a new trailer courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures. Written by screenwriters Kieran and Michele Mulroney, A Game of Shadows sees Holmes and Watson take on nemesis Professor Moriarty, with help from Holmes' older brother Mycroft and a Romani woman named Sim. Joining Downey Jr. and Law in the cast are Jared Harris (Mad Men) as Moriarty, Noomi Rapace (Prometheus) as Sim and Stephen Fry (Alice in Wonderland) as Mycroft, while Kelly Reilly (Eden Lake), Rachel McAdams (Midnight in Paris) and Eddie Marsan (Tyrannosaur) reprise their roles as Mary Morstan Watson, Irene Adler and Inspector Lestrade respectively.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is set for release in the U.K. and North America on December 16th.
