A memorable landmark in horror publishing, the first issue of The Dark Side launched in 1990 and featured Robert Englund, Clive Barker, Highlander 2, Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Caroline Munro, George A. Romero, Dario Argento, Tom Savini, Sam Raimi, The Outer Limits, Alien Nation, Robocop 2 and Ghost, amongst others. A new archive edition will appear online each month, with readers who sign up for the magazine’s newsletter being alerted when the free issues are posted on the site. As well as serving to celebrate the magazine’s 21st birthday, this digital edition giveaway also coincides with the re-launch of www.thedarksidemagazine.com, which features all the latest horror genre news, reviews and previews plus the Editor’s ongoing blog.
