Dominic Cooper and Liv Tyler try to find The Cure

Dominic CooperBritish actor Dominic Cooper (Captain America: The First Avenger, An Education, Mamma Mia!) and Liv Tyler (The Lord of the Rings, The Incredible Hulk) are reportedly circling the lead roles in a mysterious thriller called The Cure.



Cooper would play the role of Jeff, a desperate man who is trying to find a cure for his dying wife, Mary (Tyler). Jeff takes her to a strange doctor to receive an unconventional form of treatment. This ‘cure’ ends up having deadly consequences as it turns her into a blood-craving killer.



Dennis Iliadis (The Last House on the Left) has been attached to direct the film since 2009. The script has been written by Beau Thorne, while Michael London, Janice Williams, Brian Witten and Michael Connolly are set to produce.



Dominic Cooper has recently finishing filming on My Week with Marilyn (which has a star-studded cast including Michelle Williams, Emma Watson, Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench) and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (with Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Alan Tudyk). Liv Tyler is currently filming the comedy Robot and Frank with James Marsden, Liev Schreiber and Susan Sarandon, and he is also rumoured to have a minor role in the sequel to her 2008 horror The Strangers.
