Animation Mentor is conducting a free webinar hosted by martial arts expert Dr. Stuart Sumida, a professor of biology at California State University, San Bernardino, titled Anatomy of a Fight. The event kicks off on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific Time and is open to animators, students, Animation Mentor Alumni and those who register in advance; it will be rebroadcast on the same day on the Animation Mentor Facebook page. Combining classic live-action and animated fight sequences with physical demonstrations, the tutorial provides insights into anatomical principles and skeletal anatomy. “If you're an animator who wants to learn more about the anatomy of an animated fight scene,” says Dr. Sumida, “this webinar will be an eye-opening experience.”
