For the fourth consecutive weekend the Brit comedy The Inbetweeners Movie tops the UK box office chart, adding another £2.14m to give the film a cumulative gross of £39.4m. Meanwhile, hot on its heels is the Mila Kunis / Justin Timberlake rom-com Friends with Benefits, which debuts with £1.94m to take second place in its opening weekend. Also new this week is Jane Eyre starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender, with Cary Fukunaga's adaptation of the Charlotte Brontë classic taking third with just over £1m, while the only other newcomer to make an impact in the chart this week is Colombiana, which pulls in £424k to take seventh.
Turning to the familiar faces, The Smurfs holds onto fourth place for the fourth week in a row, while Rise of the Planet of the Apes slips three places to round out the top five. The Anne Hathaway / Jim Sturgess romantic drama One Day also falls four to take sixth, while Final Destination 5 and Fright Night both drop two places to eighth and ninth respectively. Finally, it looks as if Harry Potter may have enjoyed his last ever appearance in the UK cinema chart as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 props up the top ten, adding another £259k to give the eighth and final installment a mighty haul of £72.4m and counting.
