The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn gets another trailer

It's turning into a Steven Spielberg overload this week as MSN Movies have debuted a brand UK new trailer for the Spielberg / Peter Jackson motion-capture collaboration The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn to accompany the full-length trailer for the World War One epic War Horse that arrived online yesterday.

Based on Herge's roving Belgian reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy, The Secret of The Unicorn is intended as the first of a new trilogy (with Spielberg and Jackson expected to swap directing and producing duties for the second installment) and takes its story from the Tintin comic book tales The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham's Treasure.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is written by Brits Steven Moffat (Doctor Who), Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block) and stars Jamie Bell (Jane Eyre) as Tintin, Andy Serkis (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) as Captain Haddock, Daniel Craig (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as Red Rackham and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz) as the Thompson twins. The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn is released in the UK on October 26th, with a North American release following on December 21st.
