The King's Speech - live Q&A webcast direct from LA

It’s been a good few days for The King’s Speech, what with star Colin Firth bagging the Desert Palm Achievement Actor Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival and director Tom Hooper appearing on the shortlist for the DGA Award, adding to a growing number of nominations for the acclaimed historical drama. The film also opened at the top the UK box office this past weekend, fending off competition from fellow awards hopeful 127 Hours, and will look to add to this success on Sunday when it competes in seven categories at the 68th Golden Globe Awards.

The King’s Speech stars Colin Firth as King George VI, and centres on the Monarch’s efforts to overcome his humiliating stammer with the aid of speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush). The period biopic also features a host of top British acting talent including Claire Bloom, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon, Derek Jacobi, Guy Pearce and Timothy Spall.

Following a screening of the film tonight in Los Angeles, director Tom Hooper and stars Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Claire Bloom and Guy Pearce will be taking part in a Q&A and North American fans can check out a live webcast right here (with the Q&A starting at 9.30pm PT / 12.30am ET).
