Not to be outdone by Warner Bros. - who finally delivered an HD version of The Dark Knight Rises trailer earlier this week - Sony have now released the first teaser trailer from The Amazing Spider-Man, Marc Webb's upcoming retelling of the webslinger's origins starring Andrew Garfield (The Social Network). Joining Garfield in the all-star cast for the reboot are Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May and Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy.
The trailer is expected to be attached to Captain America: The First Avenger when it gets released Stateside this Friday, but you can check it out right here...
Not quite as exciting as The Dark Knight Rises trailer it has to be said, but a decent effort nonetheless. Although I do hope they keep all that FPS stuff restricted to the trailer.
The Amazing Spider-Man is set for a 3D release on July 3rd, 2012.
