It's giveaway time again here at Flickering Myth and this time one of our lucky readers can get their hands on a DVD copy of White Zombie, a classic independent American horror which is widely considered to be the first feature length zombie film. Produced and directed by Edward and Victor Halperin, White Zombie was released in 1932 and stars horror superstar Bela Lugosi as the voodoo master Murder Legendre. Approached by a wealthy plantation owner who wishes to control the mind of a beautiful young woman, the two men create a scheme to turn her into a zombie - a being neither dead nor alive, who is capable only of carrying out its masters orders.
