Also reprising their roles from the 2009 original are Kelly Reilly (Eden Lake), Rachel McAdams (Midnight in Paris), and Eddie Marsan (The Disappearance of Alice Creed), while newcomers to the cast include Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as gypsy Sim and Stephen Fry (Alice in Wonderland) as Holmes' brother Mycroft.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is set for release on December 16th. Take a look at the trailer...
Yesterday also saw the release of the first trailer from Martin Scorsese's Hugo (formerly Hugo Cabret), the legendary director's first foray into both 3D and family adventure. Based upon Brian Selznick's 2007 book The Invention of Hugo Cabret, the film stars Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) as an orphaned boy who gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his deceased father (Law) and a broken automaton in 1930s Paris.
The film also features Chloƫ Moretz (Kick-Ass), Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island), Sacha Baron Cohen (Bruno), Emily Mortimer (Harry Brown), Ray Winstone (London Boulevard), Christopher Lee (The Resident) and Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire), and is set for release on November 23rd (North America) and December 2nd (UK).
And finally, if that isn't enough to satisfy your Jude Law cravings, the guy also pops up in the trailer for Steven Soderbergh's action-thriller Contagion, which also stars Matt Damon (True Grit), Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road), Gwenyth Paltrow (Iron Man), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Laurence Fishburne (Predators). Contagion is set for release on September 9th in North America and opens in the UK on October 21st.
